This cycle shows the evolution and transformation of a bouquet of tulips. In this series, I deal with the inexorable process of decay to which all living things are subject. This large-format series of nine images with the powerful presence of this bouquet is like a study reflecting the powerlessness of humans in the face of nature. In the first bloom of a simple tulip, I capture the beautiful arrogance of invincibility—and at the end of the series, I capture its surmountability in overwhelming desolation.
